We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our team at Beresford Garden, Margate.
Beresford Garden is a supported living service supporting 2 individuals with complex needs, including profound learning disabilities, autism, and mild challenging behaviors. One service user can use some Makaton signs. Both require a high level of personal care support.
This is a hands-on role. The candidate will play a key part in managing these needs and driving improvements for the benefit of the people we support.
Willingness to be part of the on-call team is essential.

Our ideal Assistant Service Manager will:
* Work with the Service Manager to lead a successful, positive team.
* Balance safety with positive risk-taking.
* Understand the social care sector and its impact on the people we support.
* Stay updated with policies and procedures to ensure safe, best practices.
* Support recruitment and staff development fairly and consistently.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
* Be flexible with working shifts, including bank holidays, 7am–2:30pm, and 2pm–9:30pm, with occasional extended hours for supervision.
