Our new Maintenance Operative role is vital to ensuring the safety, functionality, and presentation of our buildings and grounds. You'll be part of a dedicated facilities team, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of our site and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for the children and young adults we support.
About You
You'll be a hands-on, proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining high standards. Ideally, you'll have experience in general maintenance, repairs, and facilities support, with a good understanding of health and safety practices.
You'll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to tasks and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role or setting.
* Good knowledge of plumbing, joinery, painting, or electrical work
* Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work safely with tools and equipment
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals
* A flexible approach to working with a requirement to be on call during certain times

About Seashell Trust
Seashell Trust is a national charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK. We provide care and education for children and young people aged between 4–25 years in our homes, at our school and college, and through our short break's services.
