Job Description
The ICP Estimating Engineer is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Integrated Control & Protection systems used in substations, power generation facilities, HV/MV electrical networks, and industrial automation environments.
This role requires strong technical knowledge in protection relays, control panels, SCADA/RTU systems, PLCs, communication protocols, LV/MV switchgear, and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Review & Scope Definition
* Review client specifications, single line diagrams (SLDs), protection schemes, I/O lists, system architecture drawings, and tender documents.
* Identify project scope, technical requirements, and any compliance gaps.
* Analyze control & protection philosophies and propose appropriate solutions.
2. Cost Estimation & Proposal Preparation
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
2. Control & protection panels (ICP)
3. Protection relays (e.g., SEL, ABB, Siemens, GE)
4. RTU/SCADA/PLC systems
5. Instrumentation & control components
6. Interface cabling, wiring, and hardware
7. Software engineering, testing, and commissioning
8. Create complete bid packages, including:
