Come and join our team

Here in Carmarthenshire, we are committed to making sure families can access the support they need, when and how they need it. Making sure children can access school and make the most of their education is an important part of that.

We have a vacancy for a Family Engagement Worker in our School Attendance Team which works alongside families to problem solve and overcome barriers that may be impacting on poor school attendance.

We know that accessing the right help at the right time can make the world of difference to children and families who need support. We are looking for someone with the life experience, skills and motivation to build relationships with children, young people and their families, supporting them to find solutions that work for them.

The successful candidate will provide high quality support so that children attend school and feel connected to their communities.

If you feel you can bring your experience, ideas, and creativity to this role we want to hear from you. In return you will receive regular supervision, training and support and there will be opportunities for your professional development.

For an informal discussion please contact Rebecca Thomas, rsthomas@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
