Job Summary
The Incident Response Analyst identifies technical risks and executes response actions to protect corporate assets from evolving cyber threats. This role supports the goal of ensuring cyber-attacks never result in a business outage by maintaining a constant watch over the environment. You will apply technical skills to manage forensic volatility, protect evidence, and verify that security controls function correctly.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
1. Execute automated containment playbooks to trigger immediate isolation for high-fidelity threats and remove human delays during sensitive attack stages.
2. Monitor internal systems and external intelligence sources for leaked credentials or exposed data to enable proactive account resets.
3. Capture forensic snapshots of affected system states before final isolation to preserve evidence for deep-dive investigations.
4. Conduct technical validation scans and log reviews to confirm threat removal and verify that no lateral movement exists within the network.
5. Transition alerts from initial filtering to detailed investigations in coordination with external service providers.
6. Perform independent scans to confirm technical gaps are resolved rather than assuming a system is safe because a ticket was closed.
7. Maintain the formal Incident Response Plan and participate in tabletop exercises to identify coordination gaps between teams.
8. Support the updating of internal knowledge bases to prepare the environment for upcoming technology enhancements.
9. Provide objective data regarding the threat environment to inform executive leadership.
10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Networking/Key relationships
11. Incident Response: Coordinate daily orchestration of alerts and execute automated containment strategies.
12. Infrastructure Teams: Collaborate to ensure that security controls are functioning correctly and systems are secured following an incident.
13. External Security Partners: Engage with Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers for constant oversight and deep-dive forensic investigations.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:
14. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
15. Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity role.

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $, to $,. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
