ROLE: Multi Skilled Engineer – HVAC Engineer Bias
HOURS: 8am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid break)
LOCATION: Wymondham
At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with a HVAC bias who will provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients, ensuring all services meet contractual requirements and comply with relevant regulations and laws.
* Work as part of a team of multi-skilled technical support staff, assisting in supervising contractors and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.
* Demonstrate a flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive), maintaining a proactive and positive approach while effectively prioritising workload.
* Undertake all planned preventative maintenance tasks and installation requirements, ensuring assets are maintained in accordance with O&M manuals, Health & Safety legislation, and Company Policy (including fire regulations, COSHH, safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing, etc.).
* Ensure all HVAC assets remain fully operational within design parameters, carrying out reactive repairs within agreed response times, closing calls in line with contractual requirements, and completing accurate documentation on worksheets and computer-based systems.
Required Qualifications
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
* Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and building statutory compliance, with the ability to apply this to the role.
* Ability to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg, work at heights, use vertical access equipment, join a call-out rota, and hold a full UK driving licence.
