Network Solutions Architect Location: UK (Hybrid working available) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Sector: Public Sector / IT Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 base salary, plus benefits, perks, career development opportunities, healthcare options, and 20% annual bonus! A leading technology and infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Network Solutions Architect to support their Public Sector Team. This is a key pre-sales role with a focus on Wide Area Networks, Network Connectivity, and end-to-end solution design for Public Sector clients. Key Responsibilities: Provide pre-sales solution support to the Public Sector Sales Team across managed services, cloud, voice, and network projects Attend customer meetings and present solutions to stakeholders, including C-level executives Define solutions, create technical documentation (e.g., network diagrams, solution descriptions, bills of materials) Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering and Bid Management, to ensure accurate and innovative solution delivery Participate in tender responses (RFI/RFP), technical scoping, and commercial proposals Understand and incorporate Public Sector standards and best practices, including security, compliance, and governance Act as a technical lead or part of a virtual team to shape winning, client-centric solutions Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 4–5 years’ experience in IT/Telecoms, with a strong background in pre-sales or solution design Experience working with Public Sector customers (e.g., Central/Local Government, Healthcare, Education) Strong technical design skills, including IP networking, VPLS/MPLS, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, VRRP, IGRP) Experience with Juniper (SRX, EX series) and/or Cisco technologies Additional expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Secure internet solutions (e.g., UTM firewalls, SIEM) Wired and wireless LAN environments Private & Public Cloud architecture Government network environments (e.g., PSN, HSCN, JANET) Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences Skilled in documentation and tools such as Microsoft Word, Project, and Visio Ready to shape the future of Public Sector IT solutions?
