Rate: £35 per hour (FCSA Umbrella – Inside IR35) or £25 per hour PAYE

Duration: Initial 3–6 Month Contract (Expected to Extend)

Hours: 40–45 Hours Per Week

Start Date: ASAP

Our client, a well-established manufacturer operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is seeking an experienced Prototype Wirer / Cable Harness & Loom Technician to support a growing programme of work.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team involved in the manufacture of complex, high-reliability cable harnesses and looms used in demanding military and aerospace applications. The position is initially approved for 3–6 months but is expected to continue beyond this period due to ongoing project requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous cable harness and loom manufacturing experience.
• Experience working within aerospace, defence, military or other high-spec manufacturing.
• Multi-core cable assembly and termination.
• Hand tooling and crimping.
• Connector assembly and termination.
• Manual solder sleeve application.
• Overall cable screening and shielding.
• Heat shrink sleeve and boot installation.
• Adhesive application and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring schedules.
