We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Senior Business Development & Marketing Executive to join our Belfast office and play a key role in supporting the firm’s continued expansion. Working closely with lawyers and senior business development colleagues, you will be at the heart of how we position our expertise, build client relationships and win new work. Key Responsibilities in Supporting Technology & Data and Dispute Resolution: Work closely with fee earners and the BD team in the execution of the BD strategy practice and sector on a project-by-project basis, assisting key initiatives: Go to market campaigns Cross selling programs Using data to identify and originate opportunities for service lines introductions and 'hot topic' approaches within clients Manage and implement follow up post client/target alerts and events Pursuit project management & nominated account management tasks Manage, report on designated BD campaign and other key BD program progress and follow up Work with the Partners and Fee Earners in the production of BD presentations and marketing material Support the Partners and Fee Earners in implementing business development activities including: planning, organisation and project management of a wide range of client-focussed events, newsletters/other targeted client communication and digital sessions Manage effective follow-up activity Work with the CRM/Digital Marketing Team in the production of regular direct mail and e-mailings, utilising the Firm's CRM system (Interaction) Keeping Interaction databases up-to-date and ensuring that all departments are given an opportunity to involve their clients in any activity (and that this is reflected in any database lists) Prepare documentation for business development meetings including agendas, emails, client relationship data, business development schedules and other documents Additional key responsibilities in supporting Intellectual Property: Working closely with the Head of Business Development, lead on operational support in the implementation of the BD strategy for the Intellectual Property group. Act as the go-to BD support for the practice, dealing with all queries and requests for support such as: coordinating practice-specific bids and pitches coordinating directory submissions working with colleagues in Digital, PR & Communications and Events to develop and deliver a programme of marketing activity, maintaining a suitable infrastructure to support marketing activities, such as credentials, mailing lists and use of the firm's CRM system monitoring expenditure against the BD budget. A bit about you The successful candidate will have several years' experience of working in a Business Development function in a professional services environment (legal experience is highly desired). The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate business development experience gained from working in an environment related to this role and experience working closely with senior stakeholders. In addition to this, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following: Good desktop publishing skills, particularly PowerPoint and Word Very good written skills, able to produce good quality first drafts Good data management skills and excel skills Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and stay calm under pressure Proactive and self-sufficient with the ability to take ownership and manage certain tasks with limited guidance Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners/ key stakeholders (possibly eventually act as intermediaries) A flexible and can-do approach, willing to provide varied support across various departments when required A team player who is analytical, tenacious and self-motivated Good attention to detail with the ability to multi-task Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels Who are we looking for?
