Responsibilities

* Ensure their team's compliance with H&S and quality standards
* Performing gap analysis on team skills and develop training matrix & development plans to ensure full cross skills are in place.
* Communicate job expectations and coach employees
* Communicate well with other departments and management daily on targets, plans and specific jobs going through the factory.
* Assist manager in recruitment.
* Effective contribution to the achievement of the company business plan by focusing on key KPI targets, driving accountability and consistently challenging and involving the team to achieve results.
* Monitoring Production performance, ensuring Production are hitting agreed hourly targets.
* Achieve top levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring the quality of goods, filling in for absenteeism if necessary.
* Control overtime and agency costs ensuring costs are justified in advance and remain within agreed budget levels.
* Identify areas of improvement and execute change to/or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
* Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiencies.
* Ensuring company are working to required quality and housekeeping standards.
* Ensure preventative maintenance is kept up to date.
* Familiarity with 5 “S” and similar lean tools.
Qualifications and Experience
* Must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate
* Must have leadership and interpersonal skills
* Must have hands‑on commitment to getting the job done
* Must have MS Office, Email and daily reporting experience
* Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment in a role such as Production Team Leader / Shift Team Leader / Shift Supervisor / Production Manager / Line Leader
* Experience with Continuous Improvement tools would be beneficial.
* First aid experience would be beneficial but not essential.
