General Builder (Carpentry & Heritage Experience) Location: London, KT9 Start Date: 05/01/2026 We are seeking an experienced General Builder with a strong background in carpentry and heritage restoration to join our client's specialist conservation team. This role involves working on a historic and listed building, carrying out high-quality restoration and repair works while respecting traditional construction methods. Role Responsibilities Carry out carpentry and general building works on heritage and listed properties Repair, restore, and replicate traditional timber elements and architectural features Work with hardwoods, softwoods, traditional joints, and hand-finished details Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and conservation plans Work closely with site management, conservation officers, and other trades Maintain strict adherence to health & safety and heritage preservation standards Required Experience & Skills Proven experience working on heritage or restoration projects Strong understanding of traditional carpentry techniques and materials Ability to repair or replace timber beams, frames, windows, and bespoke joinery High attention to detail with pride in quality workmanship Candidate Requirements Blue CSCS Card (essential) Reliable, punctual, and physically fit Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Own tools
