Application Deadline

Recruitment is ongoing. Please apply as soon as possible as the advert may close once we have sufficient applicants.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Graduate Process Engineer to be based in Brighton, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme. You will collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team, including colleagues in Redditch, and contribute to high-profile projects locally and nationally. Project work spans wastewater treatment, water recycling, and clean water solutions, with a strong focus on exploring nature-based solutions.

You will develop your technical skills alongside senior engineers, gaining invaluable exposure to the water industry across the full project lifecycle—from optioneering through detailed design and implementation. There may also be opportunities for site visits and investigations to broaden your understanding.

You can learn more about our Water business line and the career journey of one of our Graduate Process Engineers through our available resources.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyze and interpret data to inform project decisions.
* Contribute to the design and development of engineering solutions.
* Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Support work across the full project lifecycle, from early options to delivery.

About You

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. You will bring a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and a keen interest in the water industry.

Preferred Attributes

* An Adapter: Remains calm in changing situations and comfortably switches between varied, dynamic tasks.
* A Perseverer: Stays composed in the face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
* A Collaborator: Works effectively with diverse teams, considering others' perspectives to shape better outcomes.
* A Problem-Solver: Offers thoughtful insights based on evidence and is unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.

Working Arrangements

Graduates are asked to be in the office 4 days per week to ensure appropriate support and development.

What We Offer

* A competitive salary.
* Private medical insurance.
* A range of benefits, including holiday buy/sell, group income protection, and life assurance.
* Permanent employment contract, demonstrating our commitment to your long-term career.
* Professional progression plan, supporting you to become chartered with ICE.
* A supportive, collaborative team environment, an Early Careers peer group, and a wider Employee Resource Group (ERG) network.
