Lead PHP Developer – Huddersfield / Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE. Excellent benefits.
An experienced Lead Developer is needed for a rapidly growing business based in Huddersfield. You will have a proven track record in a senior role and lead daily stand-ups and perform in-depth code reviews. The role is hands-on, utilising your experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL and related technologies. You’ll drive technical standards and help to grow the team through mentoring and collaboration. The onboarding period will be on-site with a transition to a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
* Lead daily stand-ups and conduct in-depth code reviews
* Hands-on development using PHP, Laravel, MySQL and related technologies
* Drive technical standards and contribute to architecture and design decisions
* Mentor and develop the engineering team through collaboration
* Own products/platform delivery and take ownership of end-to-end delivery
Requirements
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar lead role
* Expert PHP and Laravel skills
* Experience with large-scale application development
* MySQL
* Git, CI/CD
* Understanding of cloud environments
* Agile
* Excellent problem-solving skills

* JavaScript frameworks
