Week 1: Monday to Friday, 8am
4pm
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 10pm
6am (rotating pattern)
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter
to support our clients mechanical maintenance team. Youll assist with the maintenance of critical equipment and plant systems, contribute to planned outages, and ensure our operations continue to run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair mechanical systems including conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Perform fabrication and general workshop duties
Participate in planned preventative and reactive maintenance
Support and deliver during scheduled plant outages
Operate and maintain workshop machinery and tools
Accurately complete reports using the site's CMMS system
Follow safe systems of work including permit-to-work protocols
Uphold site safety standards and report near misses or incidents
What Were Looking For
Qualifications:
Time-served Mechanical Fitter with a Mechanical Apprenticeship
NVQ Level 3 / BTEC in Maintenance Engineering or equivalent
IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
Experience & Skills:
Experience with mechanical equipment: conveyor belts, valves, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
Confident with mechanical drawings and documentation
Skilled in fabrication, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair
Familiarity with permit to work, RAMS, and safety protocols
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
