About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Work 1:1 and with small groups of pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEMH and ASD needs.
2. Support learning and behaviour under the guidance of the Class Teacher.
3. Implement positive behaviour management strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning.
4. Support pupils in achieving their academic, social, and personal development goals.
5. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have:
6. At least one year’s experience working with children (ideally within an educational setting).
7. A genuine interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs.
8. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
9. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
10. An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.

Vetting Requirements:
All applicants must be willing to complete:
22. An Enhanced DBS (or be registered on the Update Service).
23. Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
24. An overseas police check (if applicable).
