ICP Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Seaford, DE location. The technician will provide technical expertise to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, agitators, chillers, compressors, piping, valves, switches, starters, relays, and sensors. This role requires independent judgment, effective communication, and active participation within our maintenance team. We promote mutual respect and collaboration to implement process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support daily plant operations.
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, you will support maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency, adhere to safety and environmental guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized department. Responsibilities include:
1. Adhering to OSHA safety standards and completing required safety training.
2. Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. Installing or repairing pumps, motors, conveyors, and other plant equipment to ensure production uptime.
4. Troubleshooting equipment issues and providing repair solutions with parts lists and timelines.
5. Performing electrical tasks such as wiring motors and control panels.
6. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following safety protocols for hazardous materials.
7. Ensuring all safety documentation (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work) is completed prior to work.
8. Communicating effectively with production staff and management regarding maintenance activities.
9. Coordinating preventative maintenance on key equipment and striving to meet safety targets.
10. Working overtime and weekends as required, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience or education in STEM fields, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical systems, and familiarity with CMMS and maintenance techniques. Strong safety awareness, communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required. Candidates must be willing to work in diverse environments, including outdoors and in hazardous conditions, and wear appropriate PPE.
