About the Position: Job Title : Senior Infrastructure Engineer Working Hours : 37.75 Department : IT Reports to : Director, Infrastructure Services Location : Lurgan, Co. Armagh (Hybrid working) The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role will report to the Director of Infrastructure Services and will be respo nsible for providing a robust Infrastructure service to all Terex locations globally. They will administer and manage public cloud and on prem environments to provide consistent and resilient authentication and infrastructure services globally. They will participate or lead ongoing continuous improvement efforts for IT Infrastructure, and global projects as. Contribute to the design, planning, implementation and documentation of Terex Standards and IT Policies for Infrastructure systems as part of a globally dispersed infrastructure team. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for working with selec ted IT & business teams to ensure that IT processes are defined and implemented, and that supporting IT tools are specified, delivered, and are fully operational. This will include preparation of detailed pla ns for large IT projects and identification of value creation opportunities to enhance overall investment business case. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will also work with the extended GIOS and Segment infrastructure IT teams to drive initiatives from project, process, site assessment & troubleshooting perspectives. Key Responsibilities: Being a subject matter expert for the delivery of new cloud solution on either AWS or Azure Contribute to project and resource plans enabling maximum efficiency Offer SME support to the current project team managing cloud platforms including PaaS, SaaS, Hybrid cloud platforms and virtualisation technologies Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in the strategic application of technology Help diagnose and resolve third level technical issues relating to the Cloud platforms Manage AzureAD enterprise applications and SSO integrations globally. Assist in operations and maintenance support of Microsoft Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 infrastructure, patching, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise Write technical support documents, develop technical approaches, and provides recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary Support the development and management of core IT Infrastructure and manage the optimisation of key processes related to the use of the systems. Ensure that “Best Practice” business continuity and disaster recovery plans and test procedures/schedules are implemented and documented for all services. Ensure that effective capacity planning and configuration management is maintained for the infrastructure environment. 2 nd /3 rd level support for O365 Manage Monthly OS Patching and Application updates on all managed systems the team is responsible for. May be called upon to l iaise with the wider IT teams to gather detailed business requirements and then translate these requirements into specifications for the development and support of the business. Level of education desirable : Degree in Information Systems Tec hnology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent Professional Certification Exams – MCSE, MCITP, AWS ( SysOps /SA) Experience will be considered in lieu o f requirements above Experience Level: 3 years of experience providing IT administration and/or engineering services. 3 years of experience maintaining enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies Strong understanding of AzureAD Enterprise Application and SSO integrations Demonstrated experience within a distributed environment of at least 2,000 workstations and/or servers. Strong understanding of Windows 7/10 operating systems Strong understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs) Experience of use / migration to AWS or Public Cloud ( ie. Azure, GCP ) for Server infrastructure. Technical management and deploy ments of public cloud infrastructure. Demonstrable experience of participating in or managing successful infrastructure change projects. Strong project management experience or experience leading projects. Experience in system testing desirable, including documentation. Knowledge of data protection and other related compliance legislation. E xperience of infrastruc ture planning is.
