Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to work as part of our community neurological rehabilitation service based at Colchester General Hospital and within the surrounding North East Essex community. This fixed‑term post covers maternity leave and ends on 30 April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist physiotherapy care for patients with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neuron disease and traumatic brain injury.
* Lead and develop services alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, a Neuro Nurse Specialist and Rehabilitation Assistants.
* Deliver care in clinics in Harwich and Clacton and conduct home visits.
* Work closely with other agencies, including the voluntary sector, to provide person‑centred care.
* Promote and develop the service, communicating effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in managing neurological conditions is required.
* Specialist knowledge in MND, Parkinson’s disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS) is desirable.
* Must be a car owner and able to drive (essential for community work).
* Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience working with neurological patients and families.
