Community Support Worker – Supported Living (Nights) Salary: £15.66 per hour (Umbrella) Location: Rutland Client: Rutland County Council Contract Type: Temporary (3 months) Hours: 10pm-8am shifts Monday-Sunday varied rota depending on availability. About the Role: The Community Support Worker will provide care and support to an adult with autism living in their own home. The role involves delivering person-centred support during night shifts, ensuring the individual's safety, comfort, and wellbeing while promoting independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities Provide personalised care and support to an adult with autism in a supported living setting. Deliver consistent overnight support to ensure safety and reassurance. Assist with personal care tasks as required. Support with routines, communication, and maintaining a calm and structured environment. Monitor and record observations and any incidents in accordance with care plans and policies. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure continuity of care. Experience & Knowledge Experience supporting individuals with autism or other learning disabilities. Understanding of person-centred care and autism-specific support approaches. Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries. Skills & Competencies Compassionate, patient, and reliable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently during night shifts. Good observational and record-keeping skills. Qualifications Relevant Health & Social Care qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) – desirable. Up-to-date mandatory care training (e.g. Medication Administration, First Aid, Moving & Handling) – desirable. Other Requirements Enhanced DBS check required. Female candidate required due to the personal care needs of the individual (Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Equality Act 2010).
