Recruitment Advisor UK & EU for Bowers & Wilkins (part of Masimo Consumer)

Position summary / Main purpose of the role:

Masimo Consumer makes cutting edge products that requires a highly specialised global supply chain. We are expanding and investing in the Strategic Procurement function to develop our supply chain commercial engagement capabilities, in order to best support the UK operations. The Procurement team at Masimo Consumer has a presence across 3 continents, and you will be working with colleagues across these regions to ensure an aligned and efficient Procurement strategy supporting our multiple brands. The role of Global Commodity Manager will be focused on identifying, securing and managing a global supplier network mainly in Far East for our UK operations where we make or award winning 800 Series Diamond and Nautilus products, as well as shaping the supply chain for some of our outsourced manufacture products. Your remit will of course cover existing product lines, but also to increase and improve our involvement in new product introduction sourcing/Procurement activities, in parallel with cross-functional stakeholders.

· Lead & drive procurement sourcing actions to develop product costs throughout the NPI development process.

· Coordinate procurement of materials required to support ALL product builds of the product development process. Track, communicate status, and coordinate material readiness to support NPI deliverables throughout the project development. Must support materials deliverables for ALL stages of the project development.

· Provide solutions to cross-functional teams identifying supplier problems and corrective actions to maintain project schedule.

· Provide project status updates to the NPI team and present them to cross-functions.

· Build cross-functional relationships and aligned approaches to ensure the Procurement team are involved at the front end of processes, and are seen as a trusted business partner

· Obtain the optimal pricing for bought out finished components, measured on a total landed cost basis

· Focus on cost reduction, both through leveraging competition and value engineering

· Evaluate supplier capabilities, implementing improvement plans as necessary

· Utilise supplier scorecards to improve key supplier performance through QBR meeting

· Work with R&D/Engineering to execute sourcing activities for all new product introductions

· Mitigate supply chain risk

· Implement and maintain appropriate commercial agreements with suppliers

· Proactively participate in all process improvement activities internally and externally

· Manage business tools (e.g. ERP system) ensuring that Procurement maintained fields maintain excellent data integrity at all times

· Drive and establish Procurement processes as needed. E.g. sourcing, supplier management

· Manage supply chain ‘ramp down’ activities as projects reach the end of production

Required Qualifications:

· Degree educated or equivalent

· Highly experience and knowledge of SAP system

· Excellent interpersonal skills and great team player skills

· Able to work under stress and pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Problem-solving and solid business decision-making skills with resilience where needed

· Experience working with a global supply chain especially Far East suppliers and as part of a global organisation

· Professional, meticulous and balanced approach with strong attention to detail

· Demonstrated capabilities in successful supplier negotiations

· Excellent understanding of best practice Strategic Procurement processes including supplier evaluation, selection & control, sourcing, supplier management

· MS Office expertise, in particular Excel and PowerPoint

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally if required

Desired Qualifications:

· Direct material Procurement experience

· Detailed experience and understanding of contract law and other commercial/supply chain agreements
