Our client, residing in Mayfair, London, is seeking an experienced Senior Butler to manage the family’s daily requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop training programs for the temporary Butler team under the guidance of the House Manager.
* Train and lead the temporary Butler team to deliver exceptional service.
* Organize rotas for the Butler team in collaboration with the House Manager, ensuring alignment with other household departments.
* Serve the family and guests in formal and informal settings, liaising with the Head Chef and using preferred techniques.
* Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the Butler pantries, completing tasks within reasonable time frames.
* Care for and perform light maintenance on silverware, serve ware, fine porcelain, and crystal, using appropriate cleaning techniques.
* Monitor pantry stock levels and liaise with the House Manager for reordering as needed.
* Keep inventories of all service ware and conduct regular checks, reporting damages or missing items.
* Assist with wardrobe management, including organizing garments, packing, and unpacking for travel.
* Develop and maintain the House Manual, focusing on client preferences and service standards, in collaboration with the House Manager.
* Update client preference records regularly to ensure availability of preferences at all times.
* Procure preferred toiletries, products, and supplies as directed by the House Manager.
* Identify maintenance and repair issues promptly and report them to the House Manager, including structural or service defects.
* Act as the first point of contact in the absence of the House Manager.
Candidate requirements:
* Previous private-house experience is essential.
* Highly skilled in food and drink service.
* Strong communication skills.
* Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
* Female applicants only, due to cultural considerations.
Working Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm during non-visit periods. During visits, 6 days per week, 10 hours per day.
Salary:
£55,000 - £60,000 DOE.
