We are excited to invite skilled HGV Technicians to join our Transport Department at the Amesbury Depot within Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious logistics company, maintaining and repairing a modern, well-maintained fleet of vehicles.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to repair and maintain our HGV fleet to meet both legal and company standards. You will be at the forefront of ensuring our vehicles are safe and efficient, actively seeking solutions to challenges that arise.
Key Details
* Location: Amesbury Depot (SP4 7SZ)
* Contract: Full Time / Permanent
* Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7
* Salary: £20.04 per hour
Exciting Premiums
* Overtime rate: 1.125x hourly rate
* Saturday: 1.125x hourly rate
* Sundays and bank holidays: 1.5x hourly rate
* Unsociable hours (6pm - 4am): 14.25% hourly rate
Your Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician, your role will include, but is not limited to:
* Inspecting and maintaining our HGV fleet
* Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and transporting them to the test centre
* Recording vehicle defects and maintaining accurate records of work
* Repairing minor accident damage
* Conducting fault diagnosis
* Prioritizing safety in all aspects of your work
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
* Qualifications: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
* Commercial experience with HGVs is essential
* Class C+E licence is preferable but not essential
