As our new Senior R&D Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing nutraceutical formulations, ensuring they meet regulatory standards, customer specifications, and industry trends. You will work closely with the R&D, Quality, and Production teams to bring new and improved products to market.

What will you do?
* Product Research, Ideation, and Development: Lead the research and development of new and existing products across assigned brands, creating formulations from scratch with innovative and unique ingredients.
* Collaborate with the company’s New Product Development Department, ensuring it’s an important part of our continued growth and success.
* Project Management: Oversee the entire product pipeline from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and deliverables align with monthly launch goals.
* Product Strategy and Planning: Develop strategic product roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and market needs.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including production, marketing, and compliance teams.
* Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK regulatory standards for food supplements, managing product safety and quality compliance at each stage.
* Launch and Post-Launch Analysis: Drive successful product launches and gather post-launch feedback to inform future development.
* Cross-functional Team Management: Collaborate closely with internal teams, fostering a culture of open communication and teamwork

What We’re Looking For
* BSc/MSc in Nutrition/Nutritional Science, Biomedical Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry or similar
* Nutritional Expertise: 3+ years experience in supplement product development with a strong foundation in nutrition and hands-on formulation expertise.
* Formulation Skills: Skilled at creating recipes and sourcing unique ingredients, with experience in working with powders, capsules, and other supplement formats.
* Innovative Problem-Solver: Approach challenges with a mindset to “solve the unknown,” using creative thinking to develop unique products that fulfil real market needs.
* Ownership and Accountability: Take full responsibility for managing the entire development pipeline from concept to launch, ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders and achieving project goals.
* A passion for advancing the science of health and wellness
* Familiarity with health and wellness product regulations and research in areas like VHMS, sports, and botanicals.
