Role Summary and Impact
The planning account manager role is ideal for a bright, enthusiastic, and personable character with experience across the biggest advertiser in the country and popular brands. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day account operations, be involved in end‑to‑end media planning from annual planning to econometrics debriefs, lead a team, and deliver idea‑first media solutions within a friendly client team. The role requires established knowledge of the UK digital landscape and experience using insights and planning tools to ensure digital‑first plans rooted in insight.
Based in our new WPP campus building in Manchester’s development district, the role offers a dynamic environment to grow your communications career.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day account management and serve as the client’s key ally.
* Inspire and manage the internal team, overseeing budget documents and ensuring day‑to‑day efficiency.
* Act as the fulcrum between planning and the various EssenceMediacom departments to ensure smooth account execution.

* Flag performance issues and seek help promptly.
* Ensure collaboration with Digital, Investment, MBA, Business Science, Consumer Insight, etc.
* Quality control of team output.
