Our client is a globally recognised provider of institutional investment research, serving many of the world's leading asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and investment consultants.
They are seeking to hire a senior Macro Strategist to play a leading role in the continued growth of their global macro research franchise.
This role would be particularly well suited to someone who has considered building an independent research business, but would prefer to leverage an established global platform, best-in-class infrastructure, and a deeply embedded institutional client network in order to maximise scale and accelerate growth.
This is a highly visible opportunity for an established market voice with a recognised profile among institutional investors. The successful candidate will be expected not only to deliver differentiated macro insights, but also to deepen client engagement, attract new subscribers, and contribute directly to the commercial growth of the business.
The firm is particularly interested in individuals who have developed a meaningful following within the institutional investment community and who are viewed as a trusted advisor by portfolio managers, CIOs, strategists, asset allocators, and investment committees. Someone whose relationships are not conditional on the firms they have been at historically.
Responsibilities
* Develop and communicate differentiated views on the global economy, financial markets, and investment landscape.
* Publish high-impact research for institutional investors.
* Analyse key macroeconomic, policy, geopolitical, and market developments and their implications for portfolios.
* Present investment views directly to clients through meetings, conference calls, webinars, and events.
* Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across the buy side.
* Contribute to the growth of the firm's research franchise through client engagement and business development activity.
* Partner closely with senior commercial and research leadership to expand the reach of the platform.
* Represent the firm externally through conferences, media appearances, podcasts, and industry events where appropriate.
Requirements
* Significant experience producing macro research for institutional investors.
* Established relationships across asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, family offices, consultants, and other institutional investors.
* Demonstrable track record of building and maintaining a loyal institutional client following.
* Strong reputation for original thinking and differentiated market views.
* Ability to connect economic, policy, and market developments to actionable investment implications.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Commercial mindset and desire to play a meaningful role in growing a research franchise.
