Workshop Forklift Engineer
Location: Preston
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our team at our Preston workshop. This role offers a consistent shift pattern and competitive hourly rate within a stable working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks within a workshop setting
* Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
* Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Completing job reports and documentation accurately
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar plant/mechanical role
* Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
* Ability to work independently within a workshop environment
* A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
* Relevant engineering qualifications preferred
