Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Medical team for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 6 physiotherapist. We are seeking an individual with NHS experience and a passion for frailty and medical rehabilitation, as well as strong discharge facilitation skills, to join a well-established team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals.
Team and role
You will be an integral part of the team, which includes a Band 8a clinical Lead physiotherapist, Band 7 physiotherapists, static and rotational 6 physiotherapists, rotational 5 physiotherapists, and therapy assistant practitioners. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of the department on call respiratory rota.
Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICB.
Responsibilities
* Be part of the department on call respiratory rota.
* Work as part of an MDT and contribute to the clinical development of yourself and others. Demonstrate the ability to case manage through an understanding of the full patient pathway.
* Lead a team and/or work with junior staff and students, depending on your level of experience.
Experience and qualifications
* Experience working as part of an MDT.
* Interest in frailty and medical rehabilitation with strong discharge facilitation skills.
Development and environment
You will be supported by experienced senior staff and will have the opportunity to develop both clinically and managerially, through leading a team and/or working with junior staff and students, depending on your level of experience. The department offers a friendly and supportive working environment which actively supports Continuing Professional Development through an established appraisal system, in-service training and post-graduate library facilities.
