Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a major public sector contract.
The client is a major government customer with an extensive national estate of offices and facilities. The employer aims to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the estate is well maintained.
You will work within a team matrix structure, managing stakeholder relationships including customer contacts, contractors, and the wider Account team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability professional to develop experience on one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead the delivery of sustainability services according to contract specifications.
* Develop and drive the Sustainability Management Plan, monitor progress, promote achievements, and ensure reporting requirements are met.
* Engage with employee champions network.
* Set annual environmental objectives and targets.
* Establish governance frameworks and engage with senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant.
* Implement digital approaches to CSR and sustainability reporting.
* Validate carbon data for reporting and seek external certification.
* Collaborate with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents like the Sustainability Improvement Plan, Carbon Reduction Plan, and Biodiversity Net Gain.
* Design reporting and assurance processes around sustainability and support other departments with their objectives.
* Work with the Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risk assessments and priorities, including data collection and site visits.
Requirements:
* Experience in sustainability delivery and knowledge of ISO standards.
* Experience working in a complex matrix team structure is preferred.
