Your new company Our client is a highly regarded national claimant firm, consistently ranked as a top‑tier practice, with numerous departments and individuals recognised by Chambers & Partners. They are recruiting for a 4-8 PQE serious injury solicitor/lawyer to handle their own caseload of serious/military injury claims. This is a hybrid role where you can expect 2-3 days of WFH each week, dependent on client needs. This role is based in Manchester. Your new role As a Serious Injury Lawyer, you will: Manage your own caseload of civil litigation claims, primarily involving serious injury and military‑related matters. Assist senior solicitors on high‑value, complex injury cases including NIHL, bullying/harassment, and other military‑related personal injury disputes. Take a proactive and thorough approach to casework, contributing to the continued growth of the team. Work both independently and collaboratively, participating in business development initiatives and supporting the wider team. What you'll need to succeed Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive 4-8 years PQE in civil litigation, personal injury, or serious injury work. Strong experience managing a mixed or complex caseload (military or NIHL claims experience is beneficial) Empathy and compassion, with the ability to support clients in highly sensitive and challenging circumstances. Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with clear, confident communication. High levels of self‑motivation and the ability to work autonomously. A collaborative mindset and team‑focused approach. Strong commercial awareness and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
