Job Title: Distribution Coordinator

Pay Rate: £27,000 – £30,000 DOE

Based in Portsmouth, this Distribution Coordinator position sits at the centre of a busy operation where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for managing customer accounts, coordinating deliveries, and keeping communication flowing between departments while working closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics teams to meet delivery expectations and maintain excellent service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned customer accounts as a Distribution Coordinator
Process sales orders from receipt through to dispatch
Prepare export and customs documentation
Organise and liaise with freight forwarders and carriers
Work closely with manufacturing and purchasing to meet delivery deadlines
Maintain accurate and organised documentation and records
Handle internal and external enquiries, including telephone queries
Release parts within the system, including pricing and lead times
Escalate any issues impacting customer service or delivery
Essential Skills
Previous experience as a Distribution Coordinator or within a similar logistics/customer operations role
Strong background in shipping, logistics, or distribution
Confident using Microsoft Dynamics
Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills with a proactive and customer-focused approach
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
