Cloud Director – Sales Leadership - Private Sector
At KPMG, you will bring your industry knowledge and technology experience to map customer business challenges to on-premise and cloud technology solutions, shape end-to-end transformational journeys, and deliver real business value to our key corporate clients. In this role, you will be part of exciting client engagements, lead pre-sales activities and proposals, and be responsible for delivering our portfolio of technology solutions while maintaining deep executive-level client relationships.
As part of this leadership role, you will also lead our teams, coach and mentor junior members, and contribute to our go-to-market activities by building the KPMG brand and establishing yourself as a leading advisor within our clients, the market, and our alliance partners.
The Cloud Director role will have the following responsibilities:
1. Be recognized as an expert in cloud transformation (including Hybrid & Multi-cloud) by the market and alliance partners.
2. Contribute to developing our financial services market growth in cloud transformation with market-facing propositions and assets, building both the KPMG and your personal brand.
3. Build close relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders at financial services clients, focusing on business challenges, cloud transformation, and their broader technology journey.
4. Lead business development efforts by shaping and selling complex advisory and implementation services around cloud transformation.
5. Organize and lead programme delivery, outcomes, and resources in large transformation projects.
6. Design and develop roadmaps, strategies, and transformation plans for cloud solutions, collaborating with delivery managers, sales colleagues, and key stakeholders.
7. Contribute to our broader capability group by developing new services and supporting our people’s growth.
The Person
* Excellent consulting skills with the ability to present complex solutions to executives; experience in large consulting firms is advantageous.
* Proven experience in business development, including leading proposals and RFPs for cloud projects.
* Ability to build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders and guide their cloud journeys.
* Experience with application migrations, including target selection, infrastructure sizing, and market-leading migration tools.
* Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google), microservices, APIs, containers, data models, and migration patterns.
* Experience working in regulated environments with a focus on operational resilience.
* Track record in leading complex cloud transformation and migration advisory engagements.
* Broad understanding of infrastructure, network, database, security, DevOps, Agile, and cloud testing concepts across major cloud platforms.
* Ability to shape comprehensive, long-term cloud strategies encompassing a full range of cloud capabilities.
* History of exceeding sales and profitability targets in consulting.
