Methods is currently looking for a Publications Manager on a contract basis.

Day rate: £450 - £500 OUTSIDE IR35
6 week contract
A publication manger to project manage, review and recommend improved processes and for all stages of the procurement and production of digital and printed content. From collaborating with staff to write specifications and briefs, to working with external suppliers to provide, print, digital, creative, design, translation and accessibility services.
The 2 primary areas of concern are:
Publication production
Project manage the production of high-quality, usable and accessible digital and printed publications including:
* working with authors to understand their needs and draft specifications for publication, print, design, translation and accessibility work
* agreeing publication production schedules with authors and commercial suppliers
* reviewing documents to provide initial guidance on design, branding, formatting and production methods
* advising authors on document accessibility and assessing the accessibility of work produced by commercial suppliers
* working with authors and commercial suppliers to produce alternative formats under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulation 2018 (PSBAR) Act, including British Sign Language (BSL), Braille, easy read, accessible PDF files etc
* acceptance testing work produced by commercial suppliers
* working with authors and commercial suppliers to prioritise multiple stands of work and ensure that tight and moving deadlines are met
* provide first line support for the use of corporate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates
Contract and financial management
Managing contracts and relationships with commercial suppliers, including:
* working with authors to draft requests for quotes
* reviewing and challenging quotes for work from commercial specialists
* ensuring that authors raise purchase orders, goods receipt and pay invoices on time
* investigating and resolving billing and payment issues with authors and commercial suppliers
* recording and reporting billing and payment risks or issues
* managing contract budgets, recording and monitoring project financial data and tracking expenditures using Microsoft Excel and SAP
* managing the performance of on-call contracts
