We are looking for a self-motivated, forward-thinking clinician who is a strong team player with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, to join our critical care physiotherapy team in the Grange University Hospital.
You will need to have completed rotations, or have equivalent experience in, musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedic in patients, respiratory, neurology / rehabilitation at band 5 level.
Main duties of the job
The Physiotherapy service prides itself on providing excellent training opportunities, being committed to following evidence-based practice ensuring we provide a high-quality service to our patents. We encourage staff development through a structured appraisal system, in-service training programmes, and participation in speciality forums, clinical audit, and other development opportunities as they arise. The post is supported by band 7's and a Clinical Lead in acute cardiorespiratory.
You will be actively involved in the education and mentoring of Band 5 Physiotherapists and physiotherapy students on placement from Cardiff University.
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) covers a wide geographical area. The post is based on critical care at the Grange University Hospital, with support as required to the respiratory and surgical wards.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the respiratory on-call rota.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
