We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Bicester. The firm offers a full range of services to a varied client base, from sole traders and SMEs through to much larger companies.

As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them, communicating with them effectively throughout the audit cycle
* Managing teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements
* Monitoring budgets and keeping the partner updated on progress
* Manage and mentor junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedback
* Statutory accounts preparation
* Ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements
* Assist in tendering for new clients
* Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face to face meetings
* Ensuring the firm’s processes and technical standards are maintained
* Continue developing your technical skills in all areas of the accounting and auditing standards
* Other ad hoc duties in line with business requirements
Please do apply if you have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
* Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
* Have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience of managing audits and audit teams
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
* Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and time management
* Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients
* An aptitude for teamwork and problem solving
* Good general IT skills with experience with accounting and audit software
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
