For over 100 years, Novo Nordisk (NN) has been driving change to defeat diabetes. They are now transforming their business and expanding into therapy areas including obesity, cardiovascular, and renal disease.
The Diabetes Network Manager is a newly created promotional role responsible for the commercial performance and positioning of NN medicines through securing sales and local patient access within a geographical territory.
Key responsibilities include:
* Drive a favorable position for NN products on formularies and within local pathways at NHS trust and/or PCN/Federation level
* Drive uptake of products to develop prescribing breadth and depth to support improved patient outcomes
* Identify and address local needs, linking opportunities to improve outcomes through brand performance
* Demonstrate the value of NN services/products through commercial value propositions aligned with NHS priorities
* Support system efficiency to ensure care is delivered within appropriate settings through disease/brand service activities
* Establish as a portfolio expert with clinical and local knowledge, securing partnerships with decision-makers to deliver impactful outcomes
* Support colleagues at ICB/HB level with clinical insights on NN products and provide brand usage insights as needed
* Develop and implement local market access strategies for launches and existing NN brands
* Build and manage account plans at PCN, trust, and federation levels
Experience required:
* ABPI qualified with a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, NHS structures, policies, funding streams, and processes
* Comprehensive knowledge of the territory, including stakeholders, locality structures, policies, funding, and processes
* Experience in ensuring market access, securing formularies, and developing pathways to maximize prescribing opportunities
* Strong commercial acumen with analytical, key account management, and business planning skills
* Proven success in delivering client solutions and exceeding sales targets
* Track record of high performance, preferably within the CVRM field
* Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and partnership skills in a complex, matrixed environment
* Effective communication skills to develop partnerships internally and externally
* Confident use of communication channels to drive efficiencies and share insights
* A strong desire to improve patient care
