Our Client is based in Kendal, on the edge of the stunning English Lake District? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Stores Operative to join our friendly team and ensure the smooth operation of our stores department.
About the Role:
As a Stores Operative, your day will be filled with variety and excitement! You will be the go-to person for material queries and responsible for a range of tasks, including:
Receiving and checking all deliveries
Purchasing material orders and
Monitoring product availability and chasing orders
Preparing materials for our electricians
Maintaining accurate stock levels and organising the stores
Processing returns for unused or faulty items Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all materials are organised and ready for our electricians to take to site.
Keep detailed records of stock levels and manage plant hire/tools.
Uphold health and safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be:
Proficient in IT and Microsoft products
Self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Capable of prioritising workload and meeting deadlines
Well-disciplined in health and safety practises
Eager to learn new skills and products
Experience in an electrical wholesaler or good electrical product knowledge is a plus!
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:30
Full-time, Potentially temp to perm
