From leading high-profile campaigns to advising on politically sensitive issues, this role offers variety, influence and the opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced and evolving environment.If you are a confident communicator with strong media relations experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure, apply today to find out more.About the role:£24.45 per hourLocation: Belfast (Hybrid model available)Monday - Friday37.5 hours a weekTemporary, on going for 3 monthsHybrid working modelPlease note closing date for this vacancy is Wednesday 13th May 2026 at 4pm - however you can register your interest for other upcoming vacancies by applying todayWhat you'll be doing in this role:Lead communications activity across a range of encompass Programme projects and applications, including strategy development, stakeholder engagement, PR opportunities and campaign evaluation.Provide strategic communications advice to the encompass Senior Management Team on high-profile and politically sensitive issues.Lead internal communications projects to ensure staff are informed and engaged throughout programme and organisational changes.Write, edit and manage the encompass monthly newsletter and other corporate communications materials.Manage complex and sensitive media enquiries, preparing press releases, statements, FAQs, briefing documents and social media content within tight deadlines.Liaise closely with the Department of Health, HSC organisations and key stakeholders to ensure coordinated communications.Participate in media and on-call rotas for urgent enquiries, developing issues and major incidents.What you'll need for this role:Degree or professional qualification in Media, PR, Communications or similar, plus 3 years relevant experience in a Press Office, Newsroom, Media, PR or Corporate Communications roleORMinimum 5 years relevant experience in a Press Office, Newsroom, Media, PR or Corporate Communications roleExperience managing high-profile and sensitive communications issues, media enquiries and interview requests within tight deadlinesProven ability to deliver proactive communication campaigns and strategies across complex projectsStrong stakeholder management experience, including media, politicians, community and voluntary sectorsIT proficient with experience using media databases, reporting tools and social media platformsExperience using digital and social media to support engagement and communications activityExcellent interpersonal, organisational, written and verbal communication skillsExperience advising and influencing senior stakeholdersExperience leading internal communications projects and staff engagement initiativesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to tight deadlinesStrong project management skills with the ability to work independently and use initiativeExperience maintaining and managing websites and digital media platformsAvailable to participate in an out-of-hours communications on-call rotaFull UK driving licence and access to transport (reasonable adjustments considered)Riada Resourcing is an equal opportunities employer.Skills:Communication Confidentiality Strategic PlanningBenefits:Work From HomeWHJS1_NI
