Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing business based in Barnsley.
This is a hybrid role offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team supporting a growing manufacturing business. The successful candidate will take ownership of the AP ledger and play a key role in financial reporting, supplier management, and process improvement.

Salary: £35,000

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Accounts Payable ledger and ensure timely invoice processing
2. Accurately code supplier costs and maintain vendor payment records
3. Prepare weekly and ad hoc payment runs
4. Support monthly reporting and compliance requirements
5. Resolve supplier queries and manage new vendor setups
6. Assist with cash forecasting and credit card account management
7. Contribute to process improvements and support external audit
Ideal Candidate:
8. Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
9. Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
10. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
11. Effective communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
