As a Children’s Residential Care Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of daily life, making a positive impact. You will need to be emotionally strong, approachable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and protocol adherence.
Shift Pattern: 16-24 Hour shifts (including Sleep-in) on a one-on-two or two-on-four basis.
Typical day:
The young people in our care range from 8-18 years old, with various behavioral and emotional needs. Responsibilities include:
* Delivering high-quality care
* Offering guidance, support, and structure
* Supporting engagement with education
* Promoting healthy lifestyles and positive choices
* Participating in clinically led training
* Household duties
* Record keeping and report writing
* Organizing days out and activities
* Attending contacts, visits, and therapy sessions
* Providing transportation
Requirements:
Desirable but not essential: Full UK Driving Licence, NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, experience in therapeutic environments, educational engagement, leadership skills, and higher qualifications.
