Job Description
To ensure all material and parts are controlled and managed in an organised and efficient manner within the stores area.
Responsibilities
* Adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
* Goods off load – verify against paperwork and quality.
* Stock management – ensure stock is put away in the applicable section of stores.
* Despatch – accurately ‘pick’ goods for fabrication, site, assembly or spares.
* Maintain target 5s standards for work area and identify and implement improvements.
* Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
* Stock counting – assist with routine physical stock count and check stock levels.
Required Criteria
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
* Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
* Available to work flexible hours.
* Clearance to work in UK.
Desired Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Warehousing/Stores.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Aisle Master or Bendi truck experience.
* Material picking using handheld scanners.
Applicants are expected to be flexible and to undertake other appropriate duties and occasional work at weekends, evenings and public holidays. Applicants must have access to an appropriate method of transport to enable them to fulfil the needs of the post.
