Join us as The Great Ouse Rivers Trust - Rivers Project Officer 21 Hours | Remote/Hybrid |£31,897–£33,078 FTE About the Role Help restore chalk streams and connect communities with nature. We’re looking for a Rivers Project Officer to lead river restoration projects in the River Ivel area for the Great Ouse River catchment. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of chalk stream restoration projects, focusing on nature-based solutions and natural flood management. Build strong relationships with local communities, campaigners, and volunteers to understand their priorities and inspire action. Lead and support volunteer groups to enable meaningful participation in river restoration and conservation activities. Encourage citizen science, helping volunteers collect and evaluate data to demonstrate the impact of their work. Prepare high-quality reports for management, funders, and regulators. What We’re Looking for We need someone with: Experience in environmental science, biology, hydrology, conservation management and geography. Knowledge of river catchments and challenges facing the Great Ouse. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (insured for work use).
