As a Principal Transport Engineer, you will lead projects in active travel, streets design, and traffic engineering; contribute to cycle priority and traffic signal design; apply and evolve best practices in urban transport planning; and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable mobility solutions.

Responsibilities
* Lead cutting-edge projects in active travel, streets design, and traffic engineering
* Contribute to innovative solutions for cycle priority and traffic signal design
* Apply and evolve best practices in urban transport planning
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable mobility solutions
Qualifications
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Engineering) and have achieved or be working towards a relevant professional accreditation e.g. CEng or CTPP
* Experience in the Traffic Engineering field with ability to contribute to high-profile transport projects, particularly in urban environments; experience in cycle priority and traffic signal design desirable
* Experience applying design standards such as Designing Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Cycling by Design or Local Authority Street Design guidance
* Technical aptitude and experience in design and modelling software, particularly AutoCAD and LinSig
* Ability to liaise and communicate with clients and manage tasks using appropriate program, budget and quality controls
* Hybrid working option from Glasgow or Edinburgh offices
