About the role
We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join an established school with a friendly team, multi‑disciplinary in‑house therapy team and connected to a nationwide network of specialist therapists and leadership.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.
* Implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to supporting pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy.
* Undertake all aspects of psychotherapy clinical duties, adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines, including specialist individual assessments, interventions and documentation.
* Prepare relevant documentation, including writing reports.
* Collaborate with the onsite clinical team to develop the clinical service provision, providing support and training to staff and parents.
* Maintain a nurturing environment, uphold a strong safeguarding culture and ensure pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions where possible.
Essential Criteria
* Appropriate Psychotherapeutic qualification.
* Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP.
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
* Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs).
* Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision.
* Experience of multi‑professional work teams or services within designated speciality.
* Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
* Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
