About The Role
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Be the key interface between the Electrical Design team and our factory floor production environment, becoming skilled in fault resolution and fault finding on new equipment builds.
* Develop skills in PLC software downloading, control system testing, and issue resolution.
* Manage product quality improvement projects to continuously improve the machine control system, reliability, and safety.
* Create and control technical documentation that supports machine production and aftermarket.
* Provide support for existing and new products in conjunction with our aftermarket team.
* Validate new products and existing product changes, in line with our documented test and development procedures.
* Pay attention to detail regarding control system quality, behavior, and operator ease of use.
* Ensure new designs are fit for purpose through machine testing and validation, focusing on simplicity, functionality, and quality.
* Work with electrical design engineers to support new product development, design, and validation.
* Be involved in new machine and electrical system R&D projects.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
* Focus on resolving complex issues on existing designs with ownership of resolution.
* Liaise with multiple departments to ensure smooth daily operations, customer queries, and design projects.
* Lead engineering improvement projects.
* Provide electrical training and assistance to customers when required.
* Continuously evaluate ways to improve quality and reliability in electrical systems.
* Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules at all times.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Criteria
* HLA in Electrical/Mechatronics or similar
* Willingness to develop experience in control system architecture, hardware, and software
* Ability to concept control system software and behavior for machine systems/subsystems
* Good understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems is advantageous
* Sound knowledge of electrical engineering principles for AC and DC systems
* Logical thinking and fault-finding skills in heavy equipment
* Effective communication skills, oral and written
* Knowledge of CoDeSys, SolidWorks Electrical, EPlan, engine diagnostic software is beneficial but not essential
* Ability to use test instruments effectively
