SEN Teacher – Newcastle (NE4)Start Date: June 2026Salary: £140 – £190 per day
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school based in NE4, Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
* Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC/Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties
* Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
* Promote student progress, wellbeing, and independence
Requirements
Applicants must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
* Experience working with children or young people with a variety of additional needs including ASC, Autism, ADHD, and related SEND needs
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
Safeguarding Requirements
Candidates must hold:
* An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
OR be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
