HGV Diagnostic Technician (Level 3 Qualified)

Salary: Up to £45,000 Basic + Realistic OTE £64,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Diagnostic Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Reading. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic capabilities who enjoys fault finding, repairs, and working across multiple vehicle manufacturers.

Salary & Benefits Basic salary up to £45,000 depending on experience

The Role Carrying out advanced diagnostics and fault finding
Completing repairs identified through diagnostic inspections
Servicing, maintenance, and general repairs on HGVs
Working across a range of commercial vehicle manufacturers
Ensuring all repairs are completed to manufacturer standards
Maintaining accurate workshop records and documentation
Supporting workshop productivity and customer satisfaction
Requirements Level 3 Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred)
HGV Diagnostic Accreditation or equivalent experience
Proven experience diagnosing and repairing HGVs
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Organised and able to work to deadlines
Good understanding of health and safety requirements
Desirable LGV/HGV/PSV Licence
IRTEC Accreditation
Manufacturer Diagnostic Accreditation
Roadside Assistance qualifications
Bus and coach experience
Time-served technicians with significant experience will also be considered
