Supply Hive are working with a welcoming SEN school in Maidenhead that’s looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The school supports children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties, and places a huge emphasis on relationships, routine and creating a safe, nurturing environment for pupils. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis and is happy getting stuck in with both learning and pastoral support throughout the school day. Responsibilities Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management Providing emotional and behavioural support where needed Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning Helping to create a calm, positive and structured learning environment Requirements ✅ Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting) A patient, caring and resilient approach Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable but not essential Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority and all applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
