National Account Manager | FMCG / Key Account / Private Label
Location: Remote (with travel to Christchurch, Dorset office as required)

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful global FMCG business that partners with top UK retailers and international accounts, supplying innovative own-label products across Health & Beauty, Household, Impulse Snacking, and Reusable Bags. Known for category-leading innovation and fast-paced product launches, they are seeking a commercially focused National Account Manager to join their team.
In this role, you will manage and grow national and key retail accounts, develop strong relationships with customers and manufacturing partners, and identify new business opportunities. You will take ownership of sales strategy, account planning, forecasting, and project delivery, contributing directly to the company’s growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow national and key retail accounts, proactively identifying new business opportunities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused strategies and achieve account objectives.
* Develop and execute customer-specific sales plans aligned with commercial goals.
* Analyse category performance, KPIs, and market trends, providing insight-led recommendations.
* Identify ambitious growth opportunities and deliver innovative solutions for customers.
* Support the wider sales team and collaborate across accounts where required.
* Lead, coordinate, and track project milestones, managing internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain clear communication and visibility across all project stages.
Experience & Skills Required
* 2+ years’ experience in national account management / key account management, ideally within top UK grocers.
* Proven track record in FMCG sales, retail account growth, and profitable business development.
* Experience in private label, category management, or manufacturing is highly advantageous.
* Exposure to international retailers or supply chain partnerships is a plus.
* Strong commercial acumen, highly organised, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
* Skilled in Critical Path Management, project coordination, risk assessment, and resource planning.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
