About The Role
Occupational Therapy Assistant at Kisimul Group in Swinderby, Lincolnshire.
Location: Swinderby, Lincolnshire
Salary: £14,865 - £16,658
Hours: 22.5 Hours (3 days) per week
Annual Leave: 24 days annual leave
In this role you will support individuals to develop their ability to perform and participate in activities of daily living as part of Kisimul’s Meaningful Life Model.
You will follow therapy plans and carry out interventions with individuals across a variety of environments under the guidance and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will also support the delivery of training and provide role modelling and coaching to support staff to carry out therapeutic approaches.
You will provide services across the Swinderby site, both school and residential settings, and have the opportunity to build long‑term relationships with individuals and see the impact of your support daily.
Responsibilities
* Assist individuals in developing skills for daily living activities.
* Follow therapy plans and implement interventions under supervision.
* Provide training and coaching to staff on therapeutic approaches.
* Deliver services in school and residential settings across Swinderby site.
* Build long‑term relationships with service users and support staff.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience of supporting people with special needs, learning disabilities, autism, and associated mental health difficulties.
* Appetite for learning, adaptability and good physical stamina.
* A relevant qualification such as an NVQ, degree or BTEC is desirable but not essential.
