Due to our continued expansion at our Flagship Road Tanker site in Petersfield, we have a new full-time position for a qualified skilled HGV Auto Electrician, specialising in Heavy Goods Vehicles, Tankers and Tractor Units to work within our busy site.
This diverse role will involve working on mainly brand New DAF, Scania and Volvo road tankers ensuring they are delivered to our customers to the exact specification they require.
The overall purpose of the role is to carry out installation, repairs and testing as required of electrical components to LGV Vehicles and Tankers.

This is not your typical role or company as we are very specialised in our unique business space. As the distributor for Europe’s leading Road Tanker manufacturer, G Magyar, we are specialists in building New Road tankers ranging from Fuel, Biofuels, Water, Milk, Foodstuffs, and Chemicals. *Key Responsibilities*:
* Inspect and Test wiring and electrical systems.
* Assessing a vehicles electrical system whilst using diagnostic testing equipment.
* Diagnostics/Fault Resolution.
* Fit new electrical parts into vehicles.
* Install electrical wiring.
* Test vehicle lighting systems.
* Undertake standard vehicle/equipment inspections, services and repairs.
* Ensure all correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained.
* Ensuring workload is prioritised and deadlines met.
* Comply with Health and Safety Policy and Guidelines Documents.
* Adopt safe methods of working.
*Key Skills and Qualifications:*
* A positive "Can Do" attitude.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Physical Fitness (standing for considerable periods of time and/or in a crouched position).
* Complex problem solving skills.
* Understanding of DVSA (Transport) requirements.
* Knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements.
* Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised.
* HGV Licence - Cat C & C+E (Preferred).
We don not expect you to be familiar with our specialist road tanker sector as we will provide full and ongoing training.
